Privacy policy

This policy explains what SETU collects, why we use it and the choices available to candidates and employers.

Last updated 26 August 2026

Information we collect

Account and contact details, job and proof information you choose to provide, verification records, application activity, and basic security and performance logs.

How we use it

To operate reciprocal disclosure, verify evidence, match candidates and roles, meet response commitments, prevent abuse and improve the service.

Sharing and retention

Candidate information is released to an employer only through the reciprocal tier shown in the product. AWS processes encrypted data only to operate the service. A confirmed erasure removes Cognito identity, private source files, profile, AI, proof and notification data asynchronously. Anonymized hiring transactions and security or administrative audit records may remain for disputes, fraud prevention and legal obligations. Encrypted backups expire on the configured schedule: one day in staging and up to 35 days in production.

Your choices

Candidates can correct profile information, withdraw from a conversation, manage language and visibility settings, download a portable JSON export, and queue account erasure from Settings. The request status and specific retention exceptions remain visible while the account is active.
